So having recovered a half decent PAS cooler off the VXR shell and spent an age stripping the front of the HSV to replace the leaking one, all was well with my steering. I was a bit puzzled my the fresh fluid under the pump, but since a test drive and 30-minutes of running the car on stands didn't uncover any new drips I was happy that the job was done.

Jumped in the motor this morning, backed it up and cast a quite eye underneath. Drip, drip, bloody drip. Fresh pink oil formed a two inch puddle in less than 60-seconds. mad

Anyone want a slightly burned out HSV GTS...

Check the high pressure hoses. But a common place is the 2 low pressure feed hoses from the reservoir they can't be tightened to cure it either.

Or the pump rear seal is gone.
