Some bastard w*nker stole my sister's bag while she was in a pub last night. She was having a quiet drink with a colleague with her bag right by her feet and somehow someone managed to steal it. In it was her house keys, car keys (she's only got one set), driving licence, mobile phone, purse etc etc.

Luckily, the guy she was with went back to Wandsworth with her and waited with her while her landlord came out and got the locks changed but today she has to get her car towed by VW because when she bought it they only gave her one set of keys and she never got around to having another set cut.

Poor girl, she has had a nightmare recently, she only moved down to London a few months ago and her car got broken into the first week, she found rats in the house where she lives over Xmas and now this.

Why do people have to do stuff like this? What's wrong with people?

Sadly there is quite a lot wrong with a sector of our society. I have been forced to come to the conclusion that there is probably about 10% of society who ruin it for the rest, and we would simply be better off without them.

I recall reading a few months ago that the Police reckon that if about 120,000 known regular offenders were removed from society, the crime rate would drop 80-90%

Staggering if true.

I just feel really badly for her. She's several years younger than me and I always feel protective of her. Luckily she's pretty resiliant but talk about a run of bad luck.

Commiserations to her, my GF had her bag pinched recently while she was eating her lunch in the busiest part of the city centre. Nobody helped her obviously and it was a major PITA sorting out keys and documents etc. It's no fun seeing somebody you care for going through a rough time.

So all we need is one barren island, one brave home secretary and a "night of the long knives" for the known scrotes ? Fantastic.

Would'nt surprise me if that was the case though, plod know who the crooks are, but the politicians and CPS and magistrates have teamed up against "middle england" rather than the criminal element. Sad but true.

Sorry to hear that - all too common these days in Britain - get the bag fingerprinted if it is recovered.

I once had the experience of having my car keys , house keys and clothes (!) stolen while I was showering at a gym - major PITA - fortunately the stupid scrote left his prints on photos in my car and was jailed (was wearing my clothes too when arrested )

ALex is right - The Police have told me that virtually all crime is committed by a small group of individuals - they can predict to the day when/where burglaries will increase when known offenders are released having served time in jail. Sad really.

I'm always intrigued as to why women don't use pockets.

They could safely keep all their valuables in them, like blokes do.

The handbag could then be used for all the other worthless accoutrements they feel obliged to carry.

I mean, what use would yer average baghead or Chav have for a second hand hairbrush, a biro that doesn't work, half a packet of mints, some used tissues, some old train/bus tickets, a lipstick, a few cotton wool mice in cardboard tubes and a nearly empty squirty bottle of femme fresh?

Almost certain that bag was stolen to feed a Crack or Herion addiction. 80% of street crime is for this.

several years younger you say...
