tax refubd automatically?

just checking i got this right; we traded in my wifes cayenne. yellow slip completed and she posted to dvla. this is all we need to do, and a refund on remaining tax should be forthcoming correct?

Had the same concern myself a couple of weeks ago - but the system works - received a cheque for £120 after just sending in the V5 with the new owners info on it.... took about 10 days

I got the 'change of owner has been noted' about a week after sending the V5.

But the tax refund hadn't arrived a month later, contacted the DVLA via their website and refund cheque arrived a week later!

What was annoying was that they sent a cheque when I bought the tax with my debit card, I thought they had to refund in the same way it was paid for.
Oh, sorry this is the DVLA I'm talking about!
