Just looking some opinions at the moment regarding my next company car. I'm a sole trader, so emissions doesn't come into play in terms of tax. I have narrowed it down to a BMW 330d X-Drive or an Audi A4 3.0 TDI Quattro. I have driven both and both are very impressive cars. I thought the BMW was noisy at idle and had more road noise on the motorway than the Audi, but the BMW has a better warranty, more economical and sounds better on acceleration. The Audi defiantly has a better cabin and seats and is quieter to sit in but not as economical. I'll cover 30k a year and will keep the car 4 years before changing it again. Also, I sell farm machinery and agricultural technologies, and I think the Audi has a much more subtle image. Just looking for some opinions and if any of you guys are running these cars at the moment and what your thoughts are?

I personally prefer the BMW. The B8 A4 is a 7-year-old car now and looks dated to my eyes. We run some very high mileage 330d's at work and they all seem fairly bomb proof so reliability shouldn't be an issue either.

I'd just pick whichever one you like the most though. There really isn't a great deal in it.

I'd get the std 2wd 330d, and just put the right tyres on it for winter. That way you get better economy & better dynamics............
