Modified cars - neat touches

Now I'm not talking about massive aftermarket alloys or powered by fairy dust stickers, I'm talking about small but neat changes to a cars appearance that make it stand out in a non-chav way. For instance, those two strips of plastic either side of the roof on a car where you open little panels to attach roof bars? Recently I noticed on a black car they had been redone in silver or chrome, thought it looked quite neat.

I rarely see much though, maybe most small/personal changes are too subtle for me to notice. Seen anything interesting?
