Well, 2014 had the Cerbera in the garage more than at home but just before Christmas, she returned home having had an engine rebuild!! It must be bad, she was in the garage more than FUBAR's car was this year!!

During the summer, she developed a low rev misfire which refused to go away and, needing it to be right, I bit the bullet to have the lump lifted out and re-built.

She's now back, very rattly, running on cheap oil to bed the engine in, along with a "running-in" map as the engine has been "improved" in places and will need to be re-mapped once she's run in.

So, apologies for my lack of presence at the usual run-outs (particularly the Sunday morning guys - you know who you are!!) but rest assured I'll be back very soon.driving

I just need to do 1,000 miles before it gets set-up properly and I can use her in anger again!!

Now, where can I get one of those "Running in - Please Pass" stickers??? wink

I'll let you know how things develop!

Cheers

Rob

A good time of year to run-in a new engine. Short shifting for both engine and road conditions at the same time is the best excuse ever to go for a spin on an early spring morning!
Will you have it run in for the Dyno run in April?

You're right - good for short shifting!!! I know it's been a long time since I drove her, but she does feel fast already!! driving

Not sure about the dyno run - I have a feeling I'm away at the time.

A thousand miles is going to seem like a long time!! I usually try to avoid the salty roads so I'm doing my rain dance to wash it away soon!!

Cheers
