V12VS 1,000 mile report
Discussion
Flew into the UK to pick up the V12VS from HWM on Christmas Eve. Now back in Bermuda after a 1,000 miles in a little under a week driving around Cheshire, Shropshire, Surrey and the bits inbetween.
Car is amazing. I came from a 2014 MY V8S, which was a brilliant car in its own right.
As you would expect, the V12VS is just more of everything. Obviously the extra power and torque is immediately apparent, but the steering, adaptive suspension and brakes are also on another level. Then there's the sound, and you wouldn't believe the difference the lightweight seats make.
The SS III gearbox is also a significant improvement over SS II, and as long as you drive it as a manual, it really is excellent.
The Sport button really transforms the car, much more than it did on the V8S. I haven't removed fuse 15, I'm just enjoying driving two different cars at the moment. Very docile and easy to drive around town, then press the button and wow.........
Paddy polished the car and applied the sealant. It really is incredible. Almost a mirror finish to the Ferrari Nero Daytona paintwork. The pictures below don't really do it justice, taken in difficult lighting conditions. I can't remember how many positive comments and thumbs ups I received over the course of the week. Very, very happy. Back over early February. Happy New Year!

Wow!! I'm very jealous. That is a very stunning car. And sounds like you enjoyed your first 1000 miles. Many more to come eh. I've only just entered Aston ownership at the tender age of 61 with a 55 plate V8 Vantage. And I think Its an amazing car too. God knows what it must be like to be able to afford a brand new one? Envy you or what.
Dave.
