PS4 just bought

Decided to treat myself to a PS4 and COD and Destiny.

All I want to do is plug Destiny in and play it, why am I being forced through some massive download before I can even play. For casual gamers like me this is a right royal pain in the neck.

Having said that, the graphics look amazing on COD and the machine itself is cool.

Because since launch the game has been further developed and these updates need to be downloaded to give you the best gami experience. The PS4 will download these updates if you leave the machine in standby so it is pretty rare that it prevents you from playing games these days.

It is common now.

You can get games like Far Cry where the online bit will download in the background whilst you play the offline game... It was plug and play for me..

Also bear in mind that games will have massive update files, but your PS4 can download them whilst in standby, or whilst you are playing other things.
