Frank Montagny banned for drug use
Discussion
Such a rare thing to see in motorsport, but Frank Montagny has been banned for the use of cocaine!

Can't think of many other cases of drivers being banned for this in recent years.

A. J. Allmendinger was suspended in 2012 after testing positive for amphetamines, but returned to racing after completing a rehab programme.

I think what makes this worse than Enge is that cocaine only stays in the system for about 24 hours, so if he was tested at the track and failed, he'd been snorting pretty recently.
This.Very, very silly boy.
I am told that coke is the drug of choice for the racer that feels the need for something stronger than alcohol due to the swift departure from the system. I have even hear some people suggest that there are other drivers who are far better known to the general public who have been known to power their nose from time to time.

My research suggests it can stay in the urine for 2-4 days but I am happy to be wrong.Master James Hunt was no stranger to various stimulants. Nor was a very famous driver from the 50s who was offered stimulants to keep him awake on long events .It is curious how we bemoan the politically correct times and hark back to when racing had real characters but when we encounter somebody doing what their predecessors did we are swift to condemn .
