A few of us braved the damp weather and dull heads for a run to Shelsley. Bradderztvr and myself met up at Leominster and drove across with both wives watching our speeds from the passenger seats. Roger must have had a problem as the roof stayed up all the way for some strange reason??

A reasonably quiet turn out and the TVR's were the best represented with half a dozen there, including a magnificent Sagaris. Most people took their daily hacks but there was a good selection of Morgans, a few Porsches, XK120, TR3 (or might have been a 2?), Lotus GT3, Aston Vantage and Ferrari GT4.

My Wedge disgraced itself and wouldn't start when we came to leave - the starter is dead. I can hear the relays clicking under the dash but not a lot else. Fortunately a quick push start had it running but it is now sitting in shame in the garage. A job for the weekend.

Just before I left a lady from Practical Classics had a word - they are going to run a TVR Wedge article this year and want a volunteer Wedge for the photo shoot, which will be in Derby. I did suggest she posted on this forum for a suitable volunteer. The car needs to be standard and not black or white. Ideally a bright colour such as red, bright blue or even yellow. My Ash green one is not their preferred colours. All fuel/expenses are paid for the shoot.

A few other Wedges:

The hood appears to be temperamental, and would only drop for a female driver. The circulation has just returned to my knuckles which were white all the way home !!
