First option will allow the valve to be open all the time the ignition is on. However, if the oil pressure drops away slowly there will be progressively nothing left in the Accusump so no safety net.

Second option will open the valve at start-up (as there will be no oil pressure so the pressure switch will be closed). Once the engine is running the Accusump will re-charge and stay full until the oil pressure switch says it has no pressure.

You should find/use an oil pressure switch that operates at a much higher pressure than a normal switch which will operate at 3-10 psi. if your engine oil is that low on track it will likely be too late for the Accusump to save the day.

Here's a link from Acusump with a diagram. Also, if your Ultima has a standard wiring harness then there will be a power lead wire already in place to connect to the pressure switch when you turn the ignition on. http://www.accusump.com/accusump.pdf/E.P.C.%20VALV...
The factory planned for it. You may need to check to see if the fuse is in place to power the wire and check to see if there is power once you turn the key to on. The EPC electric valve kit is the way to go. when you turn the key the Accusump will pressurize the engine. The build CD also has the wiring diagram to locate the pre wire feed and has segment on the installation.
