I am preparing to do my car driving licence in March, as soon as I turn 17 and was wondering if parking games either 2d or 3d would help in any way ?

Urm no. Unless the game involves you sitting an actual car cockpit and even then I'm not convinced it would replace proper bum in seat time.

I dunno, games are known to improve hand-eye coordination, and I'm sure my years of gaming helped me with the aspect of looking in the mirrors and interpreting that information to movements with the steering wheel.

As for a specific game actually helping you park though, no, I very much doubt there is anything and whether it would actually be any good at teaching you how to park is doubtful.

Best place for that would be the outside lane on the motorway.

Not sure if serious... However Euro truck sim without a trailer might help slightly. You'd need a wheel however.

Best thing for you is a friendly relative, their car and a private car park out of hours.

Well done for wanting to practice, it seems to me lots of young people want expect everything handed on a plate these days!

So long as you make the right brooom broooom noises, it's probably better than nothing.

Remember to murder the instructor and take your money back after the lesson is over, not before.

I had a crack at that when steam were selling it for 2 euros. With the clutch/manual gearbox enabled it was uncannily accurate Took me a couple of hours to learn how to park up an artic. Sadly I was caught playing it by my better half who called me a saddo and expressed the opinion she'd have rather found me watching porn. biggrin

You orrible lot.

Reverse parking using a moped would be useful as it's the same principles of steering and maneuvering.

Best of luck chap biggrin
