Wheels for Ital axle 7
Discussion
I've a classic 1984 7 (twink) and I need new wheels. Does anyone have the dimensions for 13" wheels as it's pretty confusing. I did see these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-5-x-13-JBW-D1-Black-4x... which are an old Lotus pattern but not 100% sure they'll fit.
I'll be running 175->195 tyres

Well bought and fitted with 175/70/13 Kumho tyres (KH17 Solus) - 5 wheels, 4 tyres balanced etc and delivered at about £420 which was pretty stunning. Great company to order from, came next day. Little details like metal valve caps, centre-cap badges supplied with classic Dunlop logo all help the customer feel good.
Result? Well they make the Twink look even more classic 'Seven' and the tyres grip and ride far better than the 15 year-old cheap French tyres that were on it (and unworn!). Having had higher powered 7's and on semi-slicks there is something really nice about a 7 on relatively skinny tyres - very nimble, good compliant ride, light steering and not so artificially glued to the road. The old tyres were 185/60 so the gearing is up, and to be honest a bit high for a 47 year-old engine to pull top speed, but as she starts to take off over 90 mph that's no problem (clamshell wings). Only minor negative comment is that they seem to need quite a lot of balance weight, but that may be tyres, wheels or just a case of needing more because the rims are so light.
Highly recommended all round...
