I need replace the front tyres on my Audi Q5, which are currently Michelin Latitude Sport 255/45 R20. I got a quote from Blackcircles but noticed there were some other tyres they were suggesting:
Falken FK 452
Goodyear Excellence/Efficient Grip/Eagle RS-A
Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport
Pirelli Scorpion Verdi
Apart from the Eagle RS-A they are all quite closely priced so I wondered whether anyone had real world experience of these different tyres? I looked at some review sites and it was pretty difficult to see much difference. Also if I do go for a different tyre do I need to swap the back ones as well on a four wheel drive car?
Thanks!

We've run Scorpion Verde's on a Touareg for a couple of years, they were pretty decent except in hilly snow. Very quiet (tyre noise one of my pet hates) and good grip. Had various Pirelli performance tyres over the years and not had a problem. I don't care about wear as we only do max 7k pa on each of 3 cars and 3 years is about long enough for my rubber. New R-Line Touareg inbound will likely have Conti's or Dueller's on it - can report back in a couple of weeks. Always thought Michelin's were decent if expensive but only have PS3 experience, not SUV types.
I've had good price & service from Event Tyres mobile fitting, albeit on the small car. Always go to a local place for the Touareg & Tuscan - they have beaten anything on price on the internet for 10+ years.

Falken 452s are cracking good tyres, but I would be surprised if you can find any as (IIRC) they were superseded by the woeful 453s about 3 years ago. If you are offered any, check the manufacturing date!
If it's any help, I currently have a set of Firestone SZ90s (by Bridgestone) on the S-Type which I find suits it admirably.

452's are terrible tyres, hard, noisy and crashy. If it's any help, I currently have a set of Firestone SZ90s (by Bridgestone) on the S-Type which I find suits it admirably.
The only thing good about them is they are cheap.

I have gone from Michelin Latitudes to Dunlop EfficeintGrip. They are far more comfy, almost silent and the MPG is up by about 10% as well, a superb SUV tyre.
That is on the ML, also going from a 17" Michelin to 19" on the Dunlops.
I also have Pirelli P7s on the X3, which I have to say I am blown away with, comfortable, quiet, efficient and just a great all round tyre, compared to the Contis that were on there they are in a different league.
