Only this time there was!

I was behind an admittedly slow moving VW UP, the conditions were a bit miserable with standing water on a twisty NSL lane between Eastbourne and Herstmonceux.

A VW van had decided he was going to risk it for the biscuit and went past me and the UP, fair enough he was clear and nothing came the other way.

The Audi driver behind him however decided 45 was not quick enough and regardless of the conditions and other road users nailed it and was along side me before he realised the road was a 90 left, the UP was already turning into it and coming the other way? Yes you guessed it, a marked car.

I saw what was happening and slowed to almost a stop, the Audi driver swerved his car in behind the UP,the Police car swerved, braked, stuck his lights on, did a 3 point turn and went off after him. 1/2 mile up the road the Audi driver was I should imagine hoping the Policeman had had a good morning.....

With something like this, would it automatically be a nick or a stern talking to and a warning?

Depends on the copper, it's down to their discretion as to how to deal with matters. He may have dealt with it by a stern, total and utter bking, and if the audi driver passed the attitude test, then he *might* have gotten away with it. Or he may have reported him.

No need to be rude, photosnob.

As the second posters says, it really depends on the officer.

Taken together that is really quite incredibly ironic...

(and not even very effective trolling either) wink

I doubt he will, he's probably too upset about the grief he's experiencing with the insurance repairs having crashed into a wall just before Christmas!

Having read his posts in this thread I'm sure there will be a great deal of sympathy for him though! hehe
