I recently bought the Rovergauge cable & CD and all appears to be working fine.

One small question to anybody that knows

Can I leave the cable connected to the car long term, to avoid re connecting each time in the footwell each time.

Cheers

Don't see why not, I've left mine coiled up there for a year and it still works. Think that usb plugs are a slightly fragile thing, a little more susceptible to corrosion, but as long as it's not damp down there they should be okay.

I don't think it will matter leaving the cable connected. You probably want to find a dust cover for the USB connector to protect it and stop bits getting into it.
