Using your past cars as a calendar

Am I the only one that can remember certain key dates in the past by the car they owned at the time?

I have a knack of knowing exactly what dates (well, down to the month and year) I bought and sold most of the cars I owned but not much else.

Today I was having lunch with my Mum and we were discussing various family events (when I left home, when my cousin got married etc). I was able to pinpoint pretty much exactly when they happened and even corrected my mum on a few points by remembering what car I had at the time and whether I’d just got it or it was just before I got rid of it.

Anyone else do this? Is it just a bloke thing? We all know women remember everything… especially family events

I have a big problem remembering dates or past events.

not just you,my mind usualy works like this

quite often work out dates like this ..I bought red 1.5 crx and I had it for 2 years etc etc so it must have been...

or my partner will say do you remember(some event) And I will say did I have the fiesta?

My sister thinks its extremely sad.
