I have been perusing autotrader for nothing special, just your average mondeos and focuses etc. However if the radio is tuned to kiss or capital on the interior shots I instantly dismiss the car as something being ragged to an inch of its life by a 40 year old angry dad. Am I on the ball or is there another reason that someone who drives a normal family car still listen's to hip hop.

Maybe they used to sell drugs out of the car which means its spent most of its life at either 5mph around housing estates with the windows down and stereo up, or flat out on a high speed chase to get away from the law.

Yup someone who listens to different music to you almost certainly treats their car badly. Just like those that watch different TV programmes or wear a different brand of footwear.

I suspect you might be taking it a tiny bit too far wink

Totally agree with your sentiments would always retune from kiss or radio one to heart or preferably magic for the pictures as buyers these days really are that mental...

It's true though. Radio 4 listeners will mean EGR valves will be gummed up and clutches will be warn through after only 3k miles. Radio 2 cars will never have seen the inside of a service bay. Radio 3 means the boot will be full of dog hair and a Radio 5 car will have had at least one panel repainted due to it being keyed while at a sporting event.

Yep, when enquiring about a car I always enquire what the first preset radio station is tuned to and if it's not BBC radio 3/4 then I put the phone down immediately. This is the first and only question I ask.

Genuinely laughed out loud at this. The missus is looking at me a bit weird now.

You're on the same ball as me. I would also completely disregard a post on PH which still misuses apostrophies.
Touché. smile

You are 55, white, live in the South East, of above average intelligence, female and drink wine. On average, apparently.

Same here. I've got two Everything Everything CD's in the boot changer but I never listen to them.
