Saw a recommendation on here a while ago for a company that does leather repair kits (as previously supplied by Connolly)

www.leathercare-renovations.co.uk/index.htm

Seeing as my front sports seats really let the whole interior down, being cracked and worn, I decided to give them a call.

Very helpful bunch and I ordered a small kit at £79.99. They also suggested swapping the seat backs in order to even up the wear, which was surprisingly straight forward - Porsche engineering for you!

The colour match to my linen leather was exact and the kit is very, very comprehensive even including a very good quality after-care cream.

The bulk of the time is taken up in preparation and masking etc, and it pays to invest the time to get the results. I had a small hole in the drivers bolster which I filled prior to spraying, with a kit available from Frosts for £15.

The final coats of colour and lacquer are sprayed on so requires the seats to be removed from the car. I borrowed a friends compressor and purchased a gravity fed spray gun for £50.

Leathercare Renovations can also do the whole job themselves for those not wanting to get their hands dirty.

I'm over the moon with the results, effectively having an as new interior for under £150 - bargain!

I can't recommend this kit enough to those with tired leather seats.

No pics, but the photos on their website are a pretty accurate representation of the before & after condition of my seats.

Will see if I can get some digital after pics.

I have personally used these guys for years. There is nothing they cannot either fix themselves or if really bad, point you in the right direction for replacement. Even awkward tears that they have not been able to guarantee have lasted years. Had both front seats re connolised in a 993 last summer. The driver’s side was showing particular signs of wear although the passenger side was perfect. When they suggested doing the passenger side as well to make both seats match I wasn't sure. But I needn’t have been. They also washed and conditioned the rest of the interior for about £250. Just about everyone who gets in the car comments on how well the interior looks and smells. - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
