Laughably, the chavs think they are hip because they're being talked about more, largely because their sophisticated-as-a-rough-plank-of-wood senses of humour have trouble grasping the concept of irony, hence you can mercilessly take the piss out of chavs for being chavs and they'll thing you're 'bigging them up'
