Hi guys,

I have a 2001 BMW E46 Msport Auto, car starts perfectly fine and was perfectly driving until today...

Popped it in park to let my mum out, when I put it back into D or tried R, the car would simply rev and not move.

Towed the car home, tried a few hours later and the car is now moving ever so slightly both in drive and reverse but seems like power has completely gone.

Tried again an hour ago and it didn't move at all, simply revved.

Tried just now and it moved ever so slightly again in drive and reverse but again, more or less no power.

The car usually drops down to the ground when I engage either D or R. Any pointers? Previous BMW owners with such encountered problems- advice would be much appreciated

Thank you

Peace, Love and Respect

I would get a code reader to see if there are any error codes and then maybe change the transmission oil however my guess would be your torque convertor is fked.

A few people on bimmerforum have had similar problems, maybe read up on them.
