Actually, I rephrase, I have only tried proper net dating once with good results.
However I have met very few people from the internet-not dating sites but ended up dating them.

Its becoming less seedy now the net is so accessible, seems a lot of people use net to meet people, its laziness in a way- dont have to go out and meet people then in expensive bars filled with 16 year olds.
It is a bit sad though, and still taboo, but I dont care, I'll admit to it

A buddy of mine married the girl he met on the 'net. They seem quite happy with it.

I've met up with girls that I met on the net, not exactly internet dating but whatever, one went ok, we're still friends, and another never went anywhere. So, it's not too different to any other way as far as I can tell.

Guess it depends what you're each after, and if you know/trust what the other person wants.
