Motorsport Bucket Lists
Discussion
sat thinking, now i've reached the ripe old age of 38, of things I want to see do and this list has quite a few motorsport things in.
so I thought as a collective we could come up with an ultimate motorsport bucket list of places to go.
My suggestion/wants are pretty predictable, but here they are anyway. what are yours?
Daytona 500
Indy 500
Pikes Peak
Texas and Singapore GP's (done monaco a few times)

Let me be a bit more parochial and suggest things that any enthusiast should do in UK- VSCC at Cadwell Park; Top Fuellers at Santa Pod ; British Hillclimb round at Barbon Manor; any Forest rally stage where there are a good umber of mk 2 Escorts ; Bugatti OC hillclimb at Prescott; Silverstone Classic - wandering around the pits ; Autograss racing ; Rallycross .
Done all the above except Prescott.
Nascar and lots of F1 - tick.
Bucket list with Tardis- Targa Florio 1970. Donington 1937; Le Mans 1966; Monte Carlo Rally 1986; British GP 1949; BOAC 1000 km 1970 etc.

I decided to write down my bucket list to avoid missing any. I'm treating it as a full lifetime of awesome adventures. This year I'm road tripping it down to the Rechberg Hillclimb in Austria with the old man and, very fortuitously, our schedule permits quali day of the Spa WEC 6 Hours on the way home. It's exciting knowing that every year for the rest of my life I can explore a new corner of the globe and experience its automotive culture.

2013 we were in J stand roughly at the midpoint of t4. Good view thru the north shortcute to t3 and also reasonable view down the main straight.
This year we've got tickets for t1 in the SW Vista.
Most of the action is into t1 and t3. Consequently E stand is the best but those tickets are hard to get. NE Vista is good for the same reason and easy to get but it is a bit away from the main hub of events.
Will be doing pole day and also Carb day this year. Plan is to scout out what the views are like from the Tower Terrace as that is where we are thinking of going for 2016 as it will put us on the main straight and able to see all the festivities.

Edmundos is pretty good actually
Have done and driven Nordschliefe, the main one, and will always find a way of goign back, most awe inspiring place I ahve ever been for cars.
Would love to do Pikes Peak, but may have missed the boat now its all tar.
Isle of Man deffo on the plan, Red Bull Romaniacs yes in the plan, an AMA mile flat track race and a Supercross would be great.
Drag racing is suffering for me with no quarter mile, but still great to see.
You can keep Le Mans, NASCAR, they do nothing for me. Would also like to try a Berg Cup event, maybe St Ursanne

Isn't there a short track event in Indianapolis during the week before the Indy 500 as well? I fancy going over in 2017 to tick a few items off my bucket list: whichever NASCAR event falls the weekend before / after Indy; Barber museum; and some short-track racing as well. It's a real nuisance that a huge number of my bucket list items take place in the US - it's too far away to enjoy events on a long weekend basis. This year we've got tickets for t1 in the SW Vista.

Sadly 2016 is already full with plans to hit Suzuka for the Japanese GP but I think I'll get the wheels in motion for 2017.
If you haven't done the TT, you just have to do it. Greatest motorsport event in the world.

The Wednesday before head down to Terra Haute for the USAC midget 'Tony Human Classic'.
Thursday night is the Hoosier Hundred USAC Silver Crown race at the State Fairgrounds.
Friday is Carb Day and rather than go racing in the evening you should head to the north side of Indianapolis and 96th St Steakburgers for the Carb Night Burger Bash.
Saturday you can choose from 'The Night Before the 500' at Indianapolis Raceway Park or slightly further afield 'The Little 500' at Anderson Speedway.
On the Monday of memorial day itself head to Lawrenceburg Speedway down on the Indiana / Ohio stateline for the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.
