Gust pulled the pasanger side manifold to do the gaskets and weld a crack up
This then revels the engin No and C/R
I know it's had work in the past including top hats and other stuff
It's a 500 and the block has a C/R of 9.35-1 stamp on it
I don't think this is wright
Is there any other tell tail sines what it is the engine No comes back as a Morgan +8

Thats just the stock LR lettering which means when they top-hated the motor they didn't have to mill much off the block face the 500's I would estimate are in the mid to high 10's CR wise from TVR IIRC

The TVR engine number is usually stamped on the face of the block.
At the time Morgan had an 'exclusive' deal with Rover for the engine but as demand picked up significantly with the Griffith and Chimaera and Rover were struggling they started to supply engines to TVR as well but they'd always been initially manufactured for Morgan under the deal, hence the Morgan identifier.
