Always fancied a 911 and this popped up http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Im not too experienced with these things so any advise on this car would be superb, Its around 450 miles away so would need to be 99% sure about the car before setting off.

To my inexperienced mind the engine and gearbox work makes it look like a good one and the bodywork looks pretty good too???

Any help appreciated.

Cheers and happy new year all

Find out who did the engine work, if it was Hartech and if you like a tiptronic and if you like it with a terracotta interior then its a good buy?

thats a lot of if's though...

I would want to know who rebuilt the engine and a detailed account of what was done before proceeding any further. Oh, and do you really want a tiptronic gearbox?

lol I take it these gearboxes aren't good then. My only experience with anything other than a manual box was a Hyundai Santa Fe V6 and it was crap!!

Ill be calling him at some point today so will find out exactly who built the engine.

The interior i actually like, Ive had a few black leathers which are pretty boring, a grey which was horrible so see this as pretty unique.

Well, it looks like a nice clean car. It did do 120k miles before the 'box was replaced/rebuilt. It may not have needed a full rebuild and may have been done just to tighten the car up.

As above. I'd just want to know who did the work and then ideally see if you verify it with the company in question.

Aerokit and Tiptronic combination sends a shiver down my spine, but horses for courses i guess.

This lokks like a lot of car for the money. I have a Tiptronic and I love it. I spend some time in rush hour traffic and it is such a relief to be able to switch between auto and "manual".
