Possibly the dumbest bent copper there has ever been?
Discussion
Sgt Osman Iqbal turned up to work at his station driving a Ferrari 458 bought from proceeds of his crime, prompting an investigation from the anti-corruption team.
He's now serving 7 years.

RH had to find some angle to attack the organisation
Not to consider he could have been promoted pre-corruption etc.
How was it attacking the organisation? I just pointed out that he managed to get promoted despite everyone saying he's incredibly stupid.

I offered no interpretation, simply stated a fact.

Its worrying that with all the great detective minds within the police force, that no one had noticed that he was leading a double life.
Or perhaps they knew, and did nothing.
This may shock you. The police don't generally go around assuming their (possibly senior) colleague is the kingpin of a drugs and brothel syndicate. Generally speaking, the "great detective minds" are focusing their attention elsewhere. Or perhaps they knew, and did nothing.
Oh and as for knowing and not doing anything....have you read about how they (the police that is) investigated, put a case together, took him to court, and had him sentenced to over 7 years in prison? If that's your idea of doing nothing, I'd hate to see what you would have them do.

I know a thicker bent copper.
Driving a Ferrari to work? It's like that one in Newcastle that was taking drugs from police stores and selling them back to the drugs dealers. He had that much money from that little homer he was splashing out on designer sausages. 'My wife has cancer and the life assurance has paid out...'
RH's point about him getting promoted? A bit like that Asian officer in Lancs. that was promoted despite being found snooping around police databases. The one that was raided at home with three fire arms and £20K in cash having taken over his jailed brother's drugs supply business?
RH, get with the programme! Didn't you hear Alleric Bonthrom from the Met and a Commander, Sajou, Badou? on the Today programme before Xmas saying you can never root out all of the corruption within the police.

No, but I remember a few individuals on PH telling us that the police are currently the most honest they've ever been. Statistically speaking, this one doesn't even exist, apparently.Rovinghawk said:

You know I was teasing. The not too bright bent copper I know. They've been promoted since they decided they'd meddle in my life. Another copper that's aware of it has been photographed receiving an Award from the Chief Constable and another has appeared on a list of officers recognised by the PCC with an Award. That officer may, nor not be in a relationship with another copper that's aware of the bent copper that decided they'd mess with me.
But of course none of those officers exist and standards have never been higher.
