I'd have a Focus RS.

Think they look and drive so much more special.

Have you considered whether each would allow you to arrive at this month's tedious wedding/christening/kiddies birthday party and have people think 'that's a nice car, he must be doing alright'.

Its very important. rolleyes

Cool mate, i love them in white, One thing that puts me off a bit is the fact that it's a Front wheel drive car, with a lot of power, but then i think about how i will drive it 99% of the time which is about 40-50 mph so i am most likely going to buy based on looks

Ha ha indeed i have, but what else is there to go for at the 27-28 grand mark ? that can give that appeal if these two cars cannot?

Would be the opposite for me. Audi to look at, Focus to drive.

RS3, every time. The focus is excellent but the RS3 is just superb. And a lot nicer place to sit in.

If you sold it in a years time, I bet you wouldn't have lost much on it either!

Well thats another thing Im worried about, as the new RS3 has been announced the prices may fall sharply within the next few years on the current RS3

Does it have to be a hot hatch? If not, BMW M3 E92?
For what it's worth though, I'd take the RS3 all day long!

The residuals on the RS are fantastic, so buy one, enjoy it for a year, then sell it.

Why not get a B7 RS4 which gives you more space and a V8?

The e92 M3 is in another league. Incidentally, i test drove an RS when I had that very car and promptly walked away (the halfords interior is also woeful). It is however testament to the RS residuals that an 09 RS and 09 M3 are not worlds apart.

I'm biased but I'd go for the RS3. It's a proper weapon but subtly styled. If you want something more 'out there' the Focus is probably the better option.

My last car, Brilliant but seemed too ' ordinary ' after a while, also the rear wheel drive made it a death machine in adverse weather conditions

other than that i do miss it
Must be trolling. Nobody would go for an Audi after finding the 135i too ordinary! And the death machine comment?! Cannot be serious.

The fast ford ridiculousness knows no bounds....
