Anyone going on the 14th????

We're going down to Le Mans extra-early this year just to see what it's like.

Is anyone else heading down on the Tuesday? Earliest I've seen so far is Wed (which we did last two years)....

Yes.

Our group usually goes on the Tuesday. You arrive late afternoon, so you get the pick of the camping spots. Makes everything much more relaxed, as travelling on the Wednesday means you are rushed to set yourself up before the practice starts.

Andy, the the South West mafia are taking the overnight crossing from Plymouth on the 14th so we should be there early Wednesday.

That was our thinking. We just wanted to try it in any case, to see if it was worth it.

When we arrived Wednesday last year there were still quite a lot of good spots for camping, but still those best ones were taken - and like you said, the practice usually starts whilst you're still trying to hammer pegs into the ground...


We've got an early crossing still though - leaving, I think, on a 10am Eurotunnel. Judging by the last couple of years I guess we'll be in Le Mans around 4-5pm...

Long time no see. Steve and I (plus the Surrey massive) should be in MB from Tuesday afternoon onwards. We are travelling via Epernay to stock up on some champers so drop in for beer or beverage of your choice.

We have 3 couples (3 TVRs) all going down on Sat 11 Jun thro to 21 Jun - just couldn't stay away!!

We're on the the 11.15 Speed Ferries from Dover to Bolougne on the 14th, one Leon Cupra which should be in Tetre Rouge by late afternoon, one 1972 Land Rover which will do well to get there by late evening

We're on the 07.45 speedferries. Starion, Lancer Turbo and two Evos.

Least we won't be the only ones heading down on the Tuesday. It would be a shame not to see anyone else on the way down (not normally a problem on the Wed or Thurs!).
