Hi folks, recently bought myself an 06 Monaro CV8 so thought I'd introduce myself.

My name's Andy and I live in the North East (near Middlesbrough). Would be nice to catch up with other Monaro owners in the area.

My cars a clean 06 black CV8 with millteks, filter, remap, APs, VXR wheels (to clear the brakes!), LS7 clutch, rip shifter etc etc!

I'm loving the car bur I think it could do with a spoiler to finish off the back end. I've seen the smaller lip spoilers on ebay but I'd like a VXR one really. However I don't really want to shell out for a new one! Does anybody have one they'd like to sell or know anywhere that may have one?

Also I find the Milltek exhaust a bit quiet. I'm thinking of sleeving it to release a bit more of a burble and maybe some bypass valves too. Or if anybody has a louder exhaust that they would like to swap for something a bit quieter I'd be interested. It's only a toy so I don't really need subtle :-)

Andy.

Welcome mate

It sounds like you have a doppelganger of my car (albeit I already have a spoiler)!

Welcome Andy, i'm in Stockton and have a red VXR8. I had a CV8 for over 3 years prior and loved it. The big local meet worth going to is 'The Big Breakfast' at Malton...it takes place twice a year in April and October I think, always plenty of Monaros and R8'S there, as well as other great cars. smile

Welcome, I'm in Billingham with a black Monaro VXR. Have a run to AAS in Newcastle. They'll definitely be able to make it much louder biggrin did you buy the one that was for sale from the lad I believed was from Billingham ?

Brilliant thanks for that, I'll give them a try for a spoiler. I've heard AAS popping up a few times now so I think I'll be paying them a visit when I get chance. I'll try to get to the meet if I'm home (I work away a lot). And yes it did indeed come from Bilingham. Worked out well as he advertised it a day before I returned from Africa, I bought it the following day :-) Apparently I should have told the wife first though! Whoops! I missed out on a red VXR from Washington way before I got this one. Worked out well though as this one already has all the goodies fitted, or enough to get started at least :-)

Thanks. I'm away with work for a month from monday so my cars all wrapped up again now. I'll be in contact about spoilers etc when I get home. I'll try to get some pics up. What's the easiest way to do it on here? I think I'm going to sleeve half way through the back boxes to see what difference that makes before I start getting too radical. Will probably still look at some bypass valves too though when I get chance.
