Woman driving Audi Q7, per title low fuel light comes on per title, so she stopped in L3 of M25. Police arrive to report of broken down vehicle.

Words of advice given. Needs more than that the dumb bint. Ffs. We share the roads with these people.

Perhaps made worse by the fact the car would say "low fuel" or "please refuel" so as to give indication as the what the petrol tank sign may mean.

A woman that takes notice of a light on the dash ? it is progress I guess.

Not like the one I heard about where a guys GF wrecked his engine by running it out of oil, he asked if there had been any warning lights and she said no, and then said "Oh, apart from the Gravy Boat one".

As for the Q7 woman, how does someone so dumb get a fifty plus grand motor and manage to not read the manual ?

I'd be very surprised that many people read the manuals.

Tbh the HR bod at an engineering company, originally a time served sparky, was bordering on proud that he had gone the first year with his new company car and not lifted the bonnet once.

I was borrowing it as mine was in the garage and asked him about what tyre pressures he ran as one looked a bit down and was heading to fill up before setting out.

Muppets they move among us.

Took me 13 years to spot the key-operated lock on the tailgate of the W202 estate eek

Ran out of fuel once. Had tried driving around left hand bends since that usually moved the gauge in the "full"t direction but still ran out. Still don't know why.

Surely that is at least DWDC, she should quite simply not be on the road until she has passed further training.

This is the stupid reality of modern motoring.

As a driver, should you dare stray over some completely arbitrary and out-of-date speed limit, then you are treated like the devil incarnate, no matter what driving skills or knowledge you posses.
And yet, if you fail to demonstrate the slightest capability or aptitude for the task of driving a motor car, no one blinks an eyelid!

Not a new phenomenon sadly. My Dad was a Traffic Copper for thirty years, he's full of stories about people stopping in the middle lane of the M62 to change a wheel, things like that. Most of these end with "Of course, by the time we got there someone had hit it and most of them were killed".

Complete idiots. frown

The AA confirmed that last year they received 4 calls from people who thought their car was on fire. Because the word FIRE appeared on the display. Turns out that was the name of the Adele song that was being played.

Stopping in lane 3 suddenly does sound that stupid.

That is incredible.
I'll bet it was a white Q7, with oversized wheels, driven by an orange faced fool.

The Law said:
(1)For the purposes of sections 1 and 2 above a person is to be regarded as driving dangerously if —
(a)the way he drives falls far below what would be expected of a competent and careful driver, and
(b)it would be obvious to a competent and careful driver that driving in that way would be dangerous.
...
(3)In subsections (1) and (2) above “dangerous” refers to danger either of injury to any person or of serious damage to property; and in determining for the purposes of those subsections what would be expected of, or obvious to, a competent and careful driver in a particular case, regard shall be had not only to the circumstances of which he could be expected to be aware but also to any circumstances shown to have been within the knowledge of the accused.
I think we can call that as "Guilty".
