Han,

Do you actually print the Sprint magazine?
I am convinced thar's the only way you can get it so early.

I shall look forward to seeing my copy in about two weeks' time....... wink

My Sprint arrived today woohoo, and WOW! what a write-up Andy has done for us to enjoy bow

Really good work from our S-ed, It's true, if you weren't there on that Tour, you really did miss an epic trip.

( Dunno about "And hold their manhoods cheap" though? What was Shakespeare thinking? )

But I do love the evocative introductory bit biggrin
Sheer class!
That piece alone makes the Club subscription worthwhile.

Well done Andy clap

wink Thanks for the good reports guys.

...they published it at last...just got mine today as well (no special privileges for the S Ed either)

You may notice a few bits cribbed from Band of Brothers film, Apocalypse Now film and some bloke called Shakespeare... I can't do all the work after all...

...Glens write up for the Blyton Park event last year will be the next one to look out for wink

Don't build up the expectations too much Andy, it won't be anywhete near as good as your Tour de S-Force.

Great work Andy - really enjoyed reading it all. I'd forgotten about the fines for no toll tickets (Chris - the Mee's excuse of "it blew out of the cockpit" cutting no slack from the authorities and a lovely 67 Euro fine) Great and deserving shot of H "PEF" too. AND you got it on the 2nd page too!! Brilliant.

Great write up Andy - it was like being back there whilst I read it.

I do have to shatter Pete's "wooden steering wheel" excuse unfortunately as I too have the wooden Personal rudder!

However, on this year's trips, I'll have my own rev limiter riding along in the form of "Me Luch" joining the band of brothers! She has instructions though to keep her right elbow firmly by her side when the spirited drives present themselves.

Max wink

Quality Shot Greg. In fact I have been surprised at just how many S's there are in that issue - even in the regional write ups and classified. Probably the most I've seen. Top work Andy

Its my sloppy linkage too Max - which i'm sorting. Mind you being literally screamed at by the other half and watching the dash get wrecked by sharp fingernails buried in it didn't help much.....The excuses will keep coming... I guess I need to man up and admit, I was "maxed" out on the day and lost my nerve!

I enjoyed the write up - great effort. I like the reference to me being gaunt, pale and walking slowly. Certainly did not look pale later in the week after all that sun. As someone who is the wrong side of 100kgs, I take 'gaunt' as a compliment.... Walking slowly? Remember that I am a founder member of the GTS.

One thing always surprises me in life and that is why I always seem to be one of the last in the bar.

Cheers and looking forward to France
Tony

Tim just pointed out that the steering wheel on the car in the picture is on the right which means somebody else is driving Longers car!!

Great write up Andy thanks.

Thanks to Longers for organising it.

Can't wait to catch up for aa beer or two on the next trip.

Cheers Greg

Fantastic! I had forgotten about my fine Pete, although ticket did eventually turn up while cleaning out car after trip. Bought it all back reading that, some great memories. Thinking I should have put my name down for this years now...Definitely coming next year!

Brilliant photo... apart from the fact it was my first trip in my new S and I'm not driving it weeping I wonder how many people at future events will think that Big Ian is me or, worse, think I'm that BIG? hehe

Is this Tim's revenge because I think every pic I've got his S and Griff like that, you're the one driving?!

Sorted !

Thinking about it I was a passenger at the time with the camera as Tim only let me drive after he had broken the Griff !!

Let me know if you would like a copy Big Ian ?
