Apply for worker or supervisor?

Good evening PH.
I'm after some advice. Im looking at a couple of jobs that are currently advertising. One is for the worker, it's good money and looks a good job which I appear to meet what they're after. They are also after a supervisor job which they want 3 years managerial experience but they will take lower if evidence can be provided of successful leadership.
On paper I only have a few projects I've led with small teams and running my old section on a temporary basis for around 4-6 months, I know bosses and peers all agree I should be in a supervisory role previous employment has never opened up a suitable position.
I really like the look of this job and realistically the non supervisor job meets all the requirements I want in a job and the salary and benefits are good however at the same time I'm employed so is it worth me taking a punt at a job that could progress my career?

Are you comfortable leading others? Do you enjoy supporting others? Do you have the skills and experience to deal effectively with the inevitable personnel issues that you will be faced with? Are you ambitious and keen to lead even larger teams? If there are no major doubts then I would go for the supervisor role. Good luck!

Very much so, not only do I enjoy the challenge of offering support I feel I do it well based on the fact even people fom other sections ask for my help and advice on a work and personnel level. I also want the challenge that comes with leading a larger team the idea of working towards an end goal as a senior manager in years to come is what drives me at work. Guess I'll go for the supervisor role.
