Comfortable Seats
Discussion
Saab used to have the best by far, but as they are no more, I'd say Volvo are probably best, although like BMW/Merc, some are better than others.
Audi are shocking, well modern Audi are, I've not been in one that hasn't given me back ache in short order, incl a RS3.
VW's not much better.

The standard seats in the A4 and A5 SE TEKNIK models, the angle of the seat base cannot adjusted so puts pressure on the back of my legs above the knees. Ended up buying a wedged cushion which helps a bit, considering I already own an A4 B7 with electric recaros I am surprised at how uncomfortable the next generation car is.
To my mind / ass' memory (in order):
1) 1996 Volvo 850 T5 Leather / Alcantara Front Seats
2) 1994 Renault 19 Monaco? Leather Recaro Front Seats
3) 2014 Mercedes S Class LWB Rear Seat with Suede Pillow (I ended up sleeping there one night)
4) 2005 BMW 3 Series (E90) M Sport Front Seats
5) 2006 Bentley Flying Spur Front / Rear Individual Style Seats (Available in Phaeton)

Not the Forester seats. It's one reason that I want to change this year. No lumbar support, squabs are too short for my legs, and no side support when cornering. Apart from that they're perfect
I've been in a Volvo S80 (old shape) and those seats were superb.
BMW sports seats also good.
Any Recaro, as long as you're not a porker.
VAG hit and miss.

French barges. Amazing
Maybe some of the more upmarket ones, but when I had a Xantia I hated the seats. It seemed like after thirty minutes your time was up and they turned into a bar stool. Whatever seats came in a B7 A4 S-Line were good I thought - they went low enough and had all the adjustment you could want, as well as decent side support. Although the seats in my Volvo don't seem to have as much adjustment as they could (no seat base extension, for example, which is something I usually wish I had), I don't think I've ever got uncomfortable in them, even on a really long journey (~5 hours). That's really rare in my experience.
Another Volvo vote here. My V70 was so much more comfortable than my present E class.
Also found early, 03 plate, Range Rover (L322) was excellent as you could move the top half of the front backrests electrically into your shoulders. It's replacement, 10 plate, does not have this feature & is nowhere near as comfortable.
