Hi guys

Trying to draw on the PH knowledge. My dad has over 40 corgi cars and trucks all with original boxes. I'm trying too figure out their worth, included in the collection is a full set of BP trucks from late 70s when there were collectable when you brought fuel (a collection of cars, petrol trucks and a set of 3 vintage trucks). My dad worked for BP then and got the lot.

Has anyone seen these before? Are they worth anything?

Any information you can give me would be great. I'll post some pictures when I get home.

Hi

I can't help with values I'm afraid but believe it or not I have about half of that collection. Well, my 4 year old son now has them!

Toy auctioneers Vectis can probably give you a valuation if you contact them. They can do it via email with the photos you've already got.

For a quick idea of the price spread, check eBay sold adverts and then you can work out an average from the low and high numbers. Without wishing to burst a bubble, from an initial glance I don't think there's anything that will create a massive nest egg.

I got in touch with a couple of collector websites and the confirmed that they were not worth much. Between £3-£5 per car. So I think I'll save them till I have kids and just let them use them as toys. Hardly worth worrying abut really.

The collection is more mid to late '80s rather than '70s as well.
