OBD port on Sigma EU4?
Discussion
I get an engine warning light from time to time (mostly in cold weather), so I thought I'd plug in a WIFI OBD2 adapter and check the error codes. Could be interesting to do some other checking on engine vitals on a track day.
I have a 2010 EU4 Sigma 1.6 LHD factory build. Cannot find anything to plug in. Nothing mounted on the bulkhead on the drivers side. no plugs dandling or hidden that i have been able to find under/behind the dash.
ECU is a Ford/Siemens unit mounted on the passenger's footwell. There is also a Ford Focus Visteon instrument cluster mounted backwards under the dash against the bulkhead on the passenger side next to the fuse box :-O. I assume that it the ECU expects to get signals from the instrument cluster to operate.
Any help appreciated.

roadsport 120. I think it's standard for euro market cars. the photo in the owners manual for the EU4 sigma of the engine bay clearly shows the ECU same as mine. but doubtful any UK cars have this kind of setup
other differences, drive by wire throttle, cat is integral with modified Ford Fiesta manifold, rear exhaust, bespoke airbox ported to the heater box.
I guess these choices were made to get European type approval.

The ECU is connected to the engine part of the loom so the car loom may be the same as the ordinary Sigma. If so the connector is at the end of the loom past the ignition switch on a length of cable but it is not bolted to anything so maybe tucked behind the knee panel or wrapped up in other wires.
Hope that helps

Does anyone in the UK have one of these spec cars? Caterham produced these initially for the european market to meet emission regulations. We are looking for someone to work with to develop an upgrade for these cars. Apparently as standard they only produce 105bhp. We've already developed a normally aspirated 200 bhp Ti-VCT Sigma but want to do something aimed at the entry level market.
Anyone interested, please get in touch.

Well, found it of course in the last place I looked.
OBD2-port drivers side mounted in a bracket behind the knee-pad rubber. There is no room to plug in the OBD reader while driving, so I movde the socket from the bracket. It's now dangling and I can plug in the OBD-wifi adapter and pop it all behind the knee-pad while driving.
Anyway, thanks for the tips
