I like my rust bucket of an MGB. Not the worst of car, but hardly fashionable for a young(ish) man. It certainly wans't fashionable when I bought it when I was 21. smile

I'm about to hammer a Fiat Seicento Sporting Abarth for a bit, till the novelty wears off. Bought today from an elderly neighbour who's giving up driving.....

I've been driving about in a knackered old rusty 5-series for a year now.

I nearly got one recently - I just couldnt bring myself to do it in the end. Theyre supposed to be a good bit of fun though actually.

Been driving a 205 auto for a while, easy town driving, does feel odd when you get in it, no creature comforts at all.

You have to be very thick skinned to drive an MG. I currently have a new Chinese/British one and an old ZR.

After my parked car got written off by a bus I needed wheels fast. Bought a £300 Citroen Visa thingy. Drove it for 18 months because it was transport and sheddy. Only planned to drive it for the 2-3 months it would have taken to get a new car but it was so refreshing driving something with so little £££ invested in it and not having to worry abour car park dings. At the end of the 18 months simply filling the car up was enough to triple its value.

I've got a Renault Vel Satis and a Citroen C5. Both will be 13 this year.

I know why you bought it. When I was married our 2nd car was a 160SR. Brilliant little warm hatch and great fun to drive. I quickly decided it was actually better than my new C Class Mercedes and apart from business use (co car) I used the Nissan all the time.

Latest purchase a couple of weeks ago after daily commute went down to 6 miles each way.

52-plate S-type, 95K miles, full Jag service history, 12 months MOT.

£1,200 (or 4 months payment on a 1-series hehe)

Like driving around in a 4 litre V8 armchair & I couldn't care less what anyone thinks.

NB. May be a bit dirty after I turned the traction control off and had a play down a muddy backroad nearby biggrin

Fiesta diesel, a car with all the charisma of a dog turd. It's as ugly as a 90 year old nun's fanny, as out-dated as a Fanny Craddock recipe, as trendy as piles, made from a baked bean tin with a plastic interior that ought to be melted down to make wheelie bins and it's as slow as a three-legged constipated sloth. Outside of a radius of between home and Tesco I wouldn't want to be seen dead in it but for all its faults, I've grown to love it.

I need putting down.

I dunno - I think the MGB probably fits in with this new fashion of tight jeans, a beard and a pork pie hat.

Do you have any of these?

I have a 2.0 VAG diesel and I like the fact it is a totally dull drive. It means I arrive fresh at my destination as I can't remember the 3 hour drive I've just done. I'm sure it's not a time machine though as I still need a piss when I get there.
