Talking of things around the Dash Board area, (Help, Blower not working),

My S2 has a low fuel warning light on my dash, however it is not connected, I doubt it ever was, should it be ??

Does the sender unit have an output for this or did the person who designed the dash assume the bloke who bought the bits would get a sender that would have an output for this.

Does anyone have one that works ?

Most of the early cars (all) did not have this connected.

As I understand it may have even been an option rather than a standard accessory.

Whether the electrics are there or not I don't know, but I doubt it.

Cheers

Low fuel warning light!

On the S1 you strap your spare petrol can to the running board and to be posh you can put another one on the passenger side.

If it has a low fuel warning light I can well understand why it was disconnected. It would be flashing all the time on an S, whether the tank was full or empty!

Keiran,

Mine's there too, but not connected to anything. Not had a proper nose but I doubt there's any wires floating about.

On the dash thread......the ignition and handbrake lights failed to illuminate on start-up yesterday. Car fired up fine. When re-started they were back on again as normal. Anyone think it's serious?
