986 Boxster S Reoccuring Flat Battery

Morning!
I recently sold my 996 turbo and have gone back to a 1999 Boxster S. However, a problem has now occurred, which needs resolving.
I had AA Home Start attend this morning and the engineer connected his readout to the car's battery and it was showing 3 volts (it's a correct spec Bosch and the car had been left for 2 days). He also noticed that the battery was using unusually high amps (0.07?) and this was draining the battery quicker than normal. Strange, as it's been working absolutely fine previously. We jumped the car and allowed it to run for 30-40 minutes.
His guess is that it may be the central locking, as we did a few checks:
1. When pressing the key fob button to lock/unlock the car, the light flashes (as does the one on the dashboard) but fails to operate the locking mechanism.
2. Using the key to lock the drivers door, it works ok but there is one single beep of the horn and the passenger door fails to lock too.
3. Sitting in the car and pressing the central locking button on the fascia, this successfully locks the doors from outside entry.
Can anyone identify any known reoccurring Boxster faults with the electrical &/or alarm system?
