Not sure if this in the right part of the forum
However this section of the M4 outside of congestion has always been a rather fast section - I recall so many times joining from the M25 and doing 90leptons in the slow lane yet still the slowest car on the road.
If this goes ahead it will be another area where inbetween junctions and a quiet and safe/dry conditions 70 or less will be all that you can do. Those late dashes to the airport forget about it.

Probably is true - they are doing the M3 at the moment so we have a 50 average limit.
Estimated completion date is 2016 - FFS, they aren't even adding a lane!
Who are they using, the firm that built the new Wembley?!
I think the plan is for anything East of Swindon, South of Watford, West of Maidstone or North of Gatwick to be so
miserable we just stay at home or get the train (when they run)!

Try getting the train - I probably go to London a couple of times a week on average, generally its so packed there is no room on the train or the tube is so full you wait for a few to go past. Arriving in work needing a clean sweat free shirt. Estimated completion date is 2016 - FFS, they aren't even adding a lane!
