North London Weekend Tube/Parking

Off to that there London in a few weeks for an overnight stay Sat/Sun

Train for both of us is expensive (about £100)

So was considering parking up at a North London tube stop, pref along M11 somewhere and getting the tube in

Fuel will be cheaper than the train

I'm sure i parked up at Epping for an overnight stay once before but i cant remember if you can leave the car in the tube station car park overnight?

Or is there on street parking near a tube i can make use of?

Any help would be great!

Newbury park , I parked at all day a couple of years ago. Massive car park , above ground and 2 quid for 24 hours on a Saturday. North East London on the central line , but worried out great .
