Recommend me Anti-Colic Baby Feeding Bottles?

With my other half booked in for an induction for the much overdue birth of our little daughter, and her looking unlikely that breast feeding is going to be dooable, we have built up our baby bottle feeding bits. We suddenly realised that we haven't got any Anti-Colic bottles yet.

We've pretty much got everything Tommy Tippee, but someone recommended getting Dr Brown's Anti-Colic newborn ones instead of Tommy Tippee as it was insinuated that the Anti Colic Tommy Tippee ones were abit rubbish, something to do with the teets?

I don't want to waste money buying twice so has anyone any experience in either and do they know if the Dr Brown's bottle fit in our TT Steriliser (this one below)???

The dr browns bottles do fit, but 6 will be a squeeze in there.

We tried various bottles, but none made a difference, and are now back using the original TT ones.

Also, steady stockpiling the milk - I did the same, but the boy had bad reflux and would projectile vomit it every time. Switched to Aptamil anti reflux and he was fine immediately!

Thanks for the reply. Good to know they'll fit ok.

We've only got the 3 tubs in as didn't want to get too much in case she didn't get on with it.

Nappies... have over 2500 of them, lol. A good 6months worth we reckon! Depending how quickly or slowly she grows.

We used the Dr Briwn bottles which were ok but a bit of a faff to clean with all the parts to them. I don't think they made a sts worth of difference if I'm being honest.

The only thing that definitely did work was infacol but it takes a while to start working and we had to be religious in making sure we applied it every time. Other people swear by gripe water which we tried but did nothing for our twins.

I think every baby is different and just use what works for them.

I still think the bottles are a bit of a gimmick....

The best way to guarantee no colic is breast feeding.

Why do you think it's unlikely? The only real reasons are the mother being on very particular medication which travels through to the breast milk or the baby having tongue tie or cleft palate.

We started out with the TT bottles with our daughter, moved onto the Dr Brown bottles (hated them and thought they were rubbish) and have now moved back onto the TT bottles again. You will fit the Dr Brown bottles in the TT sterliser but not all of them at the same time.

Went out and bought TT AC bottles today, just seemed easier to go with that (2 5oz ones and 4 9oz bigger ones just so we've a stock of them). Cheers for the advice.

Phew! Caution, New parents. That told me eh. Obviously a humour free zone too.

I'm with Jonnas. When I was a lad, we didn't have anti-colic bottles or many pounds worth of sterilisers, etc.
Just good, sensible hygiene seemed to work OK.

We find that the tommy tippee bottles and teats don't go down very well with our patients and don't tend to use them on the neonatal unit or post natal wards unless parents already have them - if you aren't having issues though there isn't reason to change the current teats.

Managing colic is a little trial and error - lots of different opinions from lots of different sources. If it works, it works.

We used the Tommy Tipee vented bottles as they work well if your wife is going to bottle feed as well as natural feeding as it has a more natural teat shape.

Colic can be cause by many things and our little did not get on with Aptimel formula at all. the best we found is the little known Nanny care which is base on goats milk and is very easy to digest. Waitrose now stock it and it is availible online.

We used the pacific baby bottles for my baby feeding and It is work very well. This bottle suggested by my close friend. Me and my baby happy with this bottle.
