Is there one, or can it be put in? It would stop all the double posts from apple devices...

For example, Safari would often post a second identical post if you swiped back on the touchpad; a timer stopping you posting twice in, say, 30 seconds, would stop that.

There use to be one... and use to be called flooding (you would get a message telling you to stop flooding the server or such like so that you couldn't post within a 30 second window).

Will go and check under the sofa to see if the code is still there...

It doesn't stop the double posts though.

think it's something to do with when someone opens up safari, or goes back to the page on their phone again.
double posts can happen hours apart.

The main issue is when someone double clicks the "submit" button, as it sends two requests... usually if the page is being slow to respond this happens (the issue is the response page is slow to respond, but the page that handles the submission of the post works pretty quick and thus posts on every press of the button).

On desktop the button becomes disabled once clicked... this is not the case on mobile.
