Apropos of nothing at all really:

I just like music. Pretty much all genres covered.

Last few days have seen the following on my car player for the commute, and on the iPod for gym & office:

Second only to J.S. Bach in my personal list of composers to listen to.

Current eclecticness in the CD-changer in the car goes from a Paul Oakenfold essential mix from 1999 >> Pink Floyd's DSOM >> very early Genesis via Jakatta, Zero 7, and a Vivaldi compilation (which I must get 'round to changing; I get bored very quickly with AV's stuff. I may swap it for the Philip Glass "Metamorphosis" suite)

I'll be listening to Mike Oldfield or Jean Michel Jarre, then it could be Metallica or Depeche Mode or ABBA or The Smiths or Rachmaninoff or The Human League or Genesis or The Who or Janelle Monae or Steely Dan etc etc. I've never understood people who only listen to one type of music

Looking at that list I think you'd like Porcupine Tree if you haven't already heard them, deadwing is a good 1st one to go for

I can listen to pretty much anything from Edward Elgar to Megadeath , I can't stand Funk or anything to do with Jamiraquai or whatever they're called and country music with twangy guitars and lyrics about wives leaving or dogs dying

Looking at that list I think you'd like Porcupine Tree if you haven't already heard them, deadwing is a good 1st one to go for
