Has anyone booked onto this?

I spoke with Javelin and they haven't been to Spa for a few years so couldn't advise on accommodation etc.

Would be interested to know where people are planning to stay and the best route to take if coming from the Manchester area. I've done a few UK tracks but always fancied Spa, hopefully the weather will be kind also.

Last time i was there we stopped at the Radison Blu in the market place at spa, the perfect place to spend an evening after a TD! The prices were sensible too considering how well your looked after with breakfast etc, book them early enough they can be the same price as a premier inn.

We're going in July. A lot more expensive but much more reliable weather. Even though experience shows you have to expect rain at Spa at any time of the year! We use the Hull to Zeebrugge ferry. It costs more than the tunnel but the ferry acts as the hotel that you would need if going via folkestone because the legs between there and Manchester are easily the slowest and worst part of the journey.

Not sure about the trailer but a car + driver + food in a standard cabin was about £300 for a return trip in July last year. A passenger doesn't cost much extra. Summer prices are the highest. March is closer to £200.

You will be classed as freight with a large van, or any commercial van. Unless its classed as a motor-home, ie has a side window and means of living, bed, kettle etc. I wanted to take a ducato across and looked to buying a side door with a window in, we were camping anyway so we had all the means of living covered. I spoke to them and it fitted there "guide lines" if you get my drift!
With a van your only way is the tunnel or ferry down the south.

I do know of someone that transports, priced from the Lincolnshire around £6-700 inc return

Thanks Steve, do you arrive on the ferry on the first morning a drive down from Zeebrugge for a 10ish start or get down the night before to be at the circuit first thing? Also, after the second day do you head straight back for the ferry or stay another night in Spa? Sorry for all the questions ....
Had a look at the ferry and there is a £100 return deal to Rotterdam which looks pretty good; arrives at 08:15 and leaves at 21:00.

No probs about the questions mate. There are about a dozen of us in our group and we make a holiday trip of it. Spa is such an utterly fantastic place that you don't want to feel tired when you arrive or finish early just so that you can catch a ferry. That would be such a waste. On our trip we'll take the ferry Saturday night, take a leisurely drive over to Spa on the Sunday to arrive at the hotel in the afternoon, do track days on Monday and Tuesday and then get up late on Wednesday for a leisurely drive back to Zeebrugge for the overnight ferry and home for lunch time on Thursday. This makes it 3 nights at the hotel and plenty of time to relax with a few beers.

Is it air-cooled only? I don't own any sandals or have a beard but there's time I guess...
