Leaving the scene/minor shunt
Discussion
Waiting at a red light this morning when the car behind (which was stationary) drove forward into my rear wheel, pushing me forward into the junction but not causing any visible damage.
I pulled into the side of the road past the junction after a car coming the other way flashed me through, but the driver of the (taxi) that hit me simply drove past me rather than stopping.
Is there any point in reporting this, or would that be a total waste of my time?

I'd report it now to the police. Mainly so that in two days time you don't have a whiplash claim and a "you emergency stopped for no reason" claim....
I'd love to see that claim. "I negligently crashed into the back of a motorcycle, causing me and my 25 family passengers severe whiplash and no damage to the motorcycle. Can I have my cash now, please?".allergictocheese said:

He might even say the OP reversed into him... Sadly honesty is in short supply these days.Pip1968 said:

I think you're lost. This is where you need to be:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/index.html

no damage to the property, and no injuries
then there was no accident to report
The taxi obviously won't have known there was no damage, so he may report the incident to the police so he doesn't get done for hit and run. Might be worth calling the police just to see if it's been reported, and let them know the taxi made contact with you, it was entirely the taxi's fault, you stopped, they didn't but there was no damage to your car, so do not wish to take it any further.
