Just a quickie chaps. New to PS4 but not to gaming. I'd like a racing game.

Which is generally regarded as the best?

TIA.

It depends what you're after, arcade or sim?

If it's Sim, wait until March and get yourself a copy of Project Cars.

I'm after the same thing, is Project Cars looking like its going to be any good? I've not really read any of the review hype around it.

The Crew looked promising but has been disappointing by all accounts. Racing games seem to be a bit thin on the ground for the PS4 and I wish they'd bring back split screen multi-player. It's awesome for when you have mates round but it seems the gaming world prefers you to sit at home on your own and play with people you don't know instead rolleyes

If you want arcade there are 3 main ones iirc;

NFS: Rivals - ported from the PS3
Drive Club - generally well received, always online and frustrating computer AI
The Crew - totally unloved apparently woeful problems. Personally from playing there are two main things, the grind is set too long and the crew credits/perk points are to few.

Sims you have GT6 if you are into that sort of torture.

I think that's about it. Hopefully Project: Cars will be as good as the hype makes out, will be nice to have an alternative to GT6

I played it earlier in the year and I thought it was really good. If as people are saying it's been improved since then, I'm looking forward to it even more. I really think it will make the creators of Gran Turismo and Forza step their games up (no pun intended)

Project Cars it is then, let's hope they don't delay it again AND it lives up to the hype. Unfortunately many PS4 games haven't so far.

The only thing stopping me getting a Ps4 is a good racing game. I only went PS2 to PS3 when GT5 came out at id prefer to get a PS3 when project cars comes out than GT7 as that will be a disappointment.

Project Cars will be out in March so better get saving for that PS4, assuming the game is any good of course smile

If it isn't, I suspect you'll be waiting a while for your PS4, going on past form with GT games smile

Driveclub is definitely worth a punt, especially as it can now be got for circa 20 quid. The weather effects are the best I've ever seen in a game. They really bodged the launch of it but fair play to the developers for adding lots of good content since.
