So I have a female friend who has tasked with me the job of sourcing her next car.

She currently has a metallic pink 1.2 Ka.

She has now decided that she wants something with a lot more oomph for a budget of around 7-10k. She is only 22 and lives in a fairly high insurance risk area.

The first load of cars I showed her were all met with the same answer: "Way too manly for me!"

This got me thinking, how many Performance cars out there that could be classed as "Girly"? Bar respraying an EP3 Pink (she likes the noise mine makes) I'm almost out of ideas.

So, guys (and hopefully girls), any suggestions?

Sportka? Bit old mind. I think the MX-5 option is a good one.

S2000 would be high up the list?

About the only pink car out there apart from Smart and Fiat 500.

Or tell her to buy what she would like and save 1500 quid to have it wrapped.

I think girly means curvy rather angular in design.

Audi TT
Mini Cooper S
Mazda MX5

tbh any warm hatch is gonna be a girly performance car from a 1.2 so I'd include wildcards like a VW Beetle 2.0 convertible...only 115bhp but torquey and will feel like a rocket compared!

Renault wind 1.6 vvt will be a suitably nippy rollerskate and give her open top motoring.

Nobody has asked for pics yet, it's definitely slow today.

I'm guessing, given the key criteria is girly with oomph, that he thinks it's a girly car with oomph.

I can't be sure, though.

Actually, reading the OP again, probably because she likes the noise of his EP3, but thinks it's too manly to have one herself. I still don't think an s2000 is a good car for your typical girl though. (sexist pig alert)

Damn, I was way too slow, well done hehe

BMW Z3 always seems a hit with the ladies but I guess you're looking for later, more everyday stuff.

Which means a Mini Cooper S.

A mini or a TT would be right at the top of my suggestions.

That's quite masculine, like the Z4.
