I heard this car was in the UK for sale, has anyone heard this ?

Not a clue Billy, but if true it's probably CMC or JD Classics who are selling it. Others might be on commission such as Hamiltons but few would take that in stock at the price. Anyway, here's the restoration article. George Donni of Switzerland restored it 18 months ago.

I can see so many PHers questioning, "who or what is Clark Gable?!

Ans: US Film star from the early days, think "Gone with the Wind" etc.
Dashing sort of chap with pencil moustache etc

That's, I believe, the original alloy car. It has no bonnet louvres. Could be wrong of course, but I don't think so.

His first XK120 was chassis 670003, you can lookup much of its history on XKDATA.
