As per title, have a bloke driving a car down from Glasgow for me to view in the morning. Everything about the seller and car reputation looks great on the owners forum, but just in case! Registration is S778 AAV.

Dont be a tight arse, HPI check is £20 and covers you against any loss.

I've just checked it look out for plate change in 2003, 2005 and 2007 ( seems odd) and 12 previous owners otherwise all clear, ( apart from Cat C in 2008 and then cat D last year).

It blows my mind that someone doesn't do it themselves, for less than £20 you get protection and don't have to trust someone on the Internet!

It saves travelling to visit it and then finding it's a rebuilt write off.

Hopefully the fact that he's prepared to drive down from Glasgow tomorrow esp as the weather not great here at the moment is a good signie he has faith in the car's condition

Nice one. I was beginning to think that all the lovely people who user to be helpful on this site had been replaced by nobbers.

Yes, just jitters boredompaperbag

It's just a £1200 (very tidy/loved) runaround so not overly concerned!

That's what I was thinking, if the OP decides he doesn't want/like it then he's wasted a day and a lot of petrol!
That's petrolheads for you wink He like me would prefer their cars to go to good owners
and are quite happy for any excuse to have a last drive and chat about their cars.

Have seen the photos of the car, fellow forum members can vouch for him, good vibes all round, and in the unlikely event I decide no, will do the right thing and tell him too keep the (generous) deposit.

Strange lot car folk whistle

Where did my original post go?!

Anyway, good luck with the purchase, I bought an S60 as a daily runaround/general motorway hack and I've got to say I do like these old Volvos. Never thought I'd see the day hehe
