Defender 110 seat configuration
Discussion
Wonder if anyone can help. I am seriously considering getting a 2nd hand 110 station wagon. Looked at a '13 model today (over my budget unfortunately) which has the 2nd row of seats with headrests. Looks like these came in about 2008 from what I can gather, but I like the way they fold down and then pivot forward (if get my meaning). But a question about the pre 2008 models that have the seats without the headrests (and the inward facing back seats) - do the row of seats also fold down and then forward?
These things certainly seem to be holding their value, quite surprised how much 10 year old examples are. If I get one, long may it continue

Mines is a 2002 model - it's got the rear seats which also has headrests.
The rear seats fold down (take the headrests out), then they fold up towards the front seats so you get a nice load bay. They're also split 1/3 - 2/3rds.
The inward facing back seats (the four) fold up and thats it - however a couple of bolts and they come out completely.

On the whole, you can bolt in and bolt out stuff on a Defender. My Dad's 1997 came with low backrest seats in the middle row and he fitted tall backrests with an extender plate which moved the backrest back about 20mm for extra legroom. The only problem is they no longer fold flat and the headrests are fixed.
